  • NATER HANEB
    Acquired in 2004, Egyptian Late Period mummy coffin of Nater Haneb, on display at the museum since February 2005, has been extremely popular among museum visitors of different ages.

  • TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE
    Our museum was recently approved to enter the American Association of Museums accreditation process. In April 2006, we started the first part of the process - self study, which we have a year to complete.

  • COLLECTION RESEARCH PROJECT
    In 2002, the museum initiated a long-term Egyptian collection research project, which will result in 4 exhibitions accompanied by comprehensive, scholarly catalogs. The first exhibition dedicated to Predynastic Egyptian pottery, had been on view at the museum from October 2005 until February 2006.

  • RECENT ACQUISITIONS
    In March 2006, our museum received a spectacular gift of 9 ancient Egyptian objects from the Harer Family Trust. ...
